JANUARY 06, 2005

Gentlemen of the Frontier Brigade,

Greetings and salutations in the New Year.   I trust that all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

You are receiving this message directly from me because Capt. Walsh, AAG does not have a working computer at this time.

I want all the pertinent information on email addresses as well as mailing addresses, phone numbers, etc. updated and corrected immediately.

I am working on updating and correcting our website and the 2005 Schedule will be posted after the voting.

I am gathering information on events scheduled for 2005. To date I know that Corinth, Mississippi is the NSA event of 2005.   I know that Tribbey, OK and Bentonville, ARK are being planned but do not have dates.   I will attend the MCWRA meeting at Wilson's Creek on January 15 to gather info on events they are planning.

Any events that you want considered please submit them to me at your earliest convenience.

I contacted Gregg Benefiel and Bill Hoskins regarding Brigade business after my election.

The following positions will be formally and officially announced by the AAG in the very near future.

DON GROSS - has been serving as Interim Commander of the 1st Battalion. Don is appointed to the position of 1st Battalion Commander.

BILL HOSKINS - has been serving as 2nd Battalion Commander. Bill is appointed 2nd Battalion Commander.   Bill requested to serve for 1 year.   I will honor his request and a new commander will be appointed.

DANNY HILL - is appointed Assistant AAG of the Frontier Brigade.

ERRICK WEISER - is appointed Safety Officer of the Frontier Brigade.

I want to thank Gregg Benefiel for his years of honorable service to the Frontier Brigade.   His life has been very busy of late and time is a precious commodity.   He will continue to be a part of the Brigade.   THANK YOU and GOD BLESS GREGG......HUZZAH!

If you need to contact Headquarters please send message to me, until further notification.

I thank each and every one of you for the hard work and dedication you have given to the Brigade in 2004.   Now let's get to work and make 2005 a bigger and better year.   Get this message to all troops immediately.   COMMUNICATION is the key to a successful operation whether it be business or reenacting.

I look forward to seeing you and your fine troops on the field of battle very soon.

May God bless your New Year
I remain
YMOS,
Col. Prater
